How the category emerged
The category was born with the growth of the Port of Paranaguá. In the early 1930s, the port administration and shipping agencies carried out cargo checking. With the shortage of labor, casual workers were called upon.
From this need the union was born, made official on May 28, 1938. Since then, the checker has been an essential link in the Paraná port logistics chain.
